US President Barack Obama has been
present at India's Republic Day parade into Delhi, the 1st US head of state to
do so.
Mr Obama was chief guest at the yearly
military parade. He inwarded on Sunday for a 3-day visit seen as a mark of
warming ties between the 2 countries.
After talks on Sunday, equally sides
announced a breakthrough on a treaty that will allow US corporations to supply
India with civilian nuclear technology.
Indian PM Narendra Modi supposed it
was a "new journey" of co-operation.
Mr Obama will meet the major
opposition Congress party leaders later on Monday and will also talk at a
business summit.

Uniformed soldiers into colourful
headgear marched downhill Rajpath, or King's Avenue, where Mr Obama watched the
procession with Mr Modi inside a bullet-proof glass area.
The BBC's Sanjoy Majumder into Delhi
says the ceremonial showcased India's military might with soldiers marching into
formation as well as the newest weapons on display, including a number of that
are American-made.
